Are there any companys which offer teaching during the day?

I do not have a degree and would be on a working visa!

Any options, I have applied for PKC.

You may be able to get work in nursey schools or some kindergartens that have a high emphasis on English in the classrooms. There are a few of these around but the pay is not high.

Who the Hell are PKC? Do you have an internet link to this company?

OK, I did the search myself and looked at their website. I noticed that the salary that is offered seems fine for an entry-level job 250,000 yen a month but that it applies to specific types of visas. It then says that tax is 5-8% for residents and 20% for non-residents. I can only imagine that refers to WHV holders. But the website doesn't provide salary details for WHV holders as far as I can see.

OP: Do you know how much you will earn here?

I don't know why you are restricting yourself to day work, when eikaiwas almost always have FT schedules to suit the needs of the students, and that means being open from noonish to 9pm. Care to explain?

In any case, since you don't need anyone to sponsor your WHV, why not string together a bunch of PT jobs? There are tons of them around, and many people don't take them because they are looking for visa sponsorship.

Ive been told if I'm successful that I will be on 215,000 yen, which is pretty good and they supply housing at 50,000 yen a month. Im not really sure but I thought this was really good?

I now understand that the hours available are between 12 and 9pm so thats cool, to be honest I relaly had no idea. so thanks for clearing that up!

I have a bunch of friends who work for Peppy and yeah, you'll be on 215,000 because you only have a working holiday visa. In general their workload is pretty light, one out of every four weeks is 'office week' where from what I can gather they usually do FK all unless they have to cover for someone else. During the rest of the time you might be doing only a couple of classes a day, or up to five or six. most of my friends have about fifteen hours a week.

On the downside Peppy have spectacular commutes. I have a friend who finishes at around 7pm but gets home after ten, two trains later. They send you all over the place.

PKC is a scam. They milk people who don't have a degree for doing the same work. They even go to universities in Canada and get students to do their co-op semesters in Japan. They often hire from abroad because most people already here wouldn't work for them.
