|
|
Well, I start working for a new school in July which will mean I must exit the country to get a new visa sponsor. But a question has come up!
I have been told it is your employer's responsibility to get you out of Indonesia. That is, my current employer is supposed to supply a ticket to somewhere outside of Indonesia when they get my Exit Permit.
Is this true? I have a feeling my present school won't want to pay for anything. If so, is there anything I can do?
Any advice would be welcome. Thank you. |

Take a look at your contract. What does the school promise you? If it ain't in your contract, forget about it.
And remember this is Indonesia. Even if it's in your contract, who knows if the school will honor it! |

It is not the employer's responsibility to pay for transport out unless this was agreed beforehand (and see previous post). Assuming you were employed legally and hold a KITAS it IS the employer's responsibility to obtain an exit permit and to pay the fiskal on exit if you have completed your year's contract. |
