Dear Ms/Mr Rin (Not sure though),

First of all, thanks for your sweet notes and participating to this forum with your blind ideas, false statements, and the list goes on!

All in all, here is my message to you!

1) "welcome to Asia" You mentioned this phrase in your last posting! Right? Qatar isn't in Asia by the way! You will need to go back to your high school & take Geography 101! Once you pass it, I will get back to you

2) Quote: "And compared to Korea where I was stared at by both genders constantly and asked how much I cost on a daily basis, I think this place is great. I've experienced far less sexism here than I did in Eastern Asia"

Let me tell you one thing about Japan & Korea: The Japs and the Koreans are more polite & respectful than these people here in Qatar. Also, most of the English teachers are Canadians & Americans and they all tend to be VERY VERY ATTRACTIVE to these Asian ladies, marry them, have kids and forget where they come from. What happens to those foreign females? The Koreans & the Japanese do stare at them? WHY? Simply because they have never seen big women in their lives except in the movies for sure! I had female friends in both countries and they didn't last more than 2 years. Why? They couldn't make it with the locals in terms of relationships.

3) Quote: "But coming from a small town in Canada and from Korea, I've been in worse bars"

* When you mentioned CNA-Qatar, you automatically mentioned the poorest province in Canada where only fishing is considered as a career after they closed all the mines. Bars in this area? People fish 4 months there and DRINK FOR 8 MONTHS. Therefore, the owners do not need to open nice bars since they become as second homes for the locals! By the way, where part of New Foundland do you come from? Gander? Woody Point? Corner Brook? St George's? St John's? Labrador City? Livingston? Rigolet? Red Bay? Widsor (Not Windsor Ontario)? Hopedale?

* Bars in Korea?? WOW?? You are completely wrong! Where did you live in Korea? Seoul? Busan? Daegu? Kyoungju? Kwangju? Jeju? Kumi? Samchun? Daejon? Incheon? Suwon? Kojedo? Mokpo? Bars & Soju bangs are CLASS 1 in Korea. Clean/cheap prices/friendly staff unlike Doha bars/Excellent service/Can eat & talk/ nice private rooms with first class sofas/ beautiful Korean ladies to date & enjoy drinks unlike Doha where most of the females are old/depressed/overweight and couldn't make it anywhere and the list goes on! All right DUDETTE!

Where did you teach English in Korea? Hogwon?
Where did you teach English in Japan?Eikawa? Where? Shikoku? Osaka? Kyoto? Tokyo? Narita village? Nigata? Matsue? Akita? Aomori? Sendai???? The Japanese bars are even better than those Koreans that I described above

4) Quote: But I do prefer Qatar to Canada, Korea, Japan, Veitnam, and Mexico where I've lived previously

Well it is clear that you couldnt make it at all in all those countries EXCEPT Qatar! Wow! Also, you lived in 5 countries and you are 25 years old! Let me do my math:

You graduated at 23, looked for a job in Newfoundland for a year (Unfortunately you got nothing), thats 24. Hey dudette! Youve got only one year left & you lived in 5 countries! Go sell your flowers to the drunk men on the street because aint believe one word!

5) Quote: and Mexico Hot place! I was there in the mid 90s and I had a blast! Where did you live? Mexico City? Cuernavaca? Mazunte? Acapulco? Puerto Vallarta? Cancun? Puerto Escondido? Or up North near our American friends? Did you teach you newphie English for 4 Am $/an hour and got fired! I know most of the North American females go to Mexico to party and to get those attractive Mexican males. Correct?

6) Well, now you work for the so called CAN-Q? WOW! Canadian North Atlantic College in Qatar! WOW WOW WOW!!!! This sounds to me just like Carnegie Mellon University, A&M Texas University and Georgetown University at the Qatar Foundation??????

The most interesting thing is that you are teaching ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH????? GO FIGURE OUT?

# Quote: If you're looking for a place that is, good luck, everywhere has it's downside
And you are teaching English!!! Its or Its???? Based on the grammar that you have learned in Newfoundland??? I see!

#Quote: But I do prefer Qatar to Canada, Korea, Japan, Veitnam, and Mexico where I've lived previously Where I lived or where Ive lived?????????? Vietnam or Veitnam??????????????

#Quote: But than again, Then or Than????????

#Quote: this country is Islamic. Isnt it better to say: It is an Islamic country or it is a Muslim country??????

#Quote: I've left TEFL and moved into a corporate job where I'm making enough money to afford a brand new SUV Then, in your next message you mentioned: I am still teching English, I start as a Public Relations Coordinator at the end of the month First of all, TEACHING & not TECHING! Next: Ive left in the first quote and I am teaching English! Do you have any idea about GRAMMAR since youre teaching English at the famous CAN-Qatar??????????

I would like to finish my posting by asking my fellow readers to do a very quick search on yahoo or Google: Type Canadian Universities & Colleges RANKING? And see if this college is listed or not? I bet you if you ask any Canadian (Outside Newfoundland of course) about this place, and the answers would be like:

Question: Have you heard of CNA-Q?

# Is it a new brand of beer? Cigarettes?
# Is it near Mexico?
# A center for refugees?
# A social Welfare office?
# A brand name for fishing gears?
# A Native American Reserve?
# A new American company coming to Newfoundland to invest?
# Is it the last subway stop on the green line in Montreal?
# A condominium complex?
# A charter flight name? Like Air Transat? Canada 3000?
# A neighbourhood in Vancouver?
And the list goes on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rin keep teaching English and put in your mind that the Qataris are getting smarter and smarter! The evidence is that they all know that your CAN-Qatar was in the UAE (United Arabs Emirates) for 3 years and they couldnt get one single student! Then, they moved to Doha! Also, over 120 students from your college were sent back to different companies in Qatar (Q-Tel/Hamad Hospital/RasGas/QP and so forth because the ineffective educational system that your college is offering. You will see in the future that all these companies will pull their students since, to me, CAN-Qatar cant compete other REAL COLLEGES)

Please do not feel bad about all this posting since I know one Canadian English teacher at CAN-Qatar who lived in Japan for 6 years and worked at 6 different private English institutes and THE IRONY IS HE WAS FIRED EVERY SINGLE YEAR! NOW, HES TEACHING ENGLISH AT CNA-QATAR & MAKING 20,000 Qatari Riyals/A month! GOD BLESS DOHA!

What a waste!!!!!!!!!!

All the best!

Boy you are one disgruntled individual. Obviously not getting laid since you got here has addled your mind some.

Qatar is in Asia, Middle Eastern Asia. Maybe you should go learn your geography.

No I'm not from Newfoundland, but you are obviously from Ontario. Or more likely, given your general pessimistic, bad attitude, from the US. In which case nobody likes you, especially Korean women, unless they thought you were going to buy them something. And would also explain why you are working for QP and not CNA-Q which has the highest salaries in Qatar for English teachers, and not only has plenty of students, but is actually expanding. Oh, and there are no mines in Newfoundland. Never have been.

And I suppose if you are wandering around the world following your incredibly small *beep* than I can see why you wouldn't like it here. You have no Korean or Japenese girls to cow tow to you and try to marry you so that they can get out of their own cultures which treat women like yesterdays garbage.

I graduated when I was 21. And I didn't say I've lived in these places for a year each, I lived in Meixco for 3 months (Merida), Japan for about 5 and Vietnam I was unfortunately only able to spend a month in. All of those places I was traveling, not working. I lived in Seoul for a year, and for the most part I found the bars dirty, the beer disgusting and the food mediocre (if you like dried squid its fine). And sure the people were polite, when they weren't spitting everywhere and asking me how much I cost, or calling me a stupid American (which I'm not) or trying to quiet their child down by pointing out the white girl on the subway. But I've found the people in Qatar to be very polite and nobody's asked me how much I cost yet.

The company I am going to start working for now is one that I worked for back in Canada before I decided to travel for a couple of years, which is when I joined TEFL. Now I am tired of TEFL and working for them again here in Doha. (Or will be in two days, but I've been working part time for them for over two months if you need all the details).

You were in Mexico in the mid 90's! Doing what? Teaching TEFL. And the best job you can get here in Qatar is with QP? Maybe you should get a real job. Sure Mexico is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there for too long. There's a lot of poverty and the rate of sexual assault amongst women is incredibly high. I left when my friend was raped and left for dead by a cab driver. I feel a lot safer in Qatar than I did in Mexico.

As for the rather sad attempt to get at me by making fun of my typos, get a life. I wasn't writing an essay or teaching, I'm writing on an internet message board. If that is the best way you can get at me, than you really need to find a hobby.

I am so sick of stupid white boys who went to Korea, Japan and China and think that just because the women fawned over them there they should be treated like gold wherever they go. Sorry to say it, but Western women and Arabic women just don't think you're that special. So we aren't going to wear little mini skirts and drool over you.

So sorry. Rolling Eyes
