I was a CS/russian studies major that went to college for 5 years but never finished. I do speak conversational russian well.

Now I am 31 and have been doing computer programming the past 7 years.

While vacationing in st. petersburg I met a guy at a bar who said he was teaching ESL and did not even know any russian.

So to do this myself what must I do?

Nothing?

Some sort of test?

Need to have a 4 year degree ?

I do not care much about pay. Just enough to survive and have a interesting time.

Schools in Russia generally want a CELTA or Trinity or equivalent. Go check out the web sites for www.bkc.ru or www.languagelink.ru (the biggest ones).

If you speak Russian you could probably do well private tutoring. However just plopping yourself into Russia on your own is difficult and expensive, only you can decide if you're up to it.
