I'm heading to Istanbul in a few months and want to know about purchasing electronics.
I'm considering purchasing a laptop here, or would it be cheaper to do in Turkey? Do they sell english keyboards there?
Any Advice?

| Where are you coming from? Laptops are more expensive in Turkey than the UK. |

| Coming from the United States. But if they're more expensive than the U.K., they'll probably be a lot more expensive than the states. |

| DEFINITELY buy any electronics in the US before you come over. Things are much cheaper there. The only thing you'll need to check is the compatibility of the AC adaptor, look to see that it works from 110-220volts. Most major electronics (laptops) do, and work 100-240 volts. (Don't worry about the adaptor plugs, those are cheap and easy to find here) It should be written right on the adaptor itself. For this reason you shouldn't bring over smaller electronics that don't work 110-220 such as hair driers, coffeemakers, etc. |
