Hello all ! I'm looking into teaching English in either Madrid or Argentina (probably B.A.). I have read over many, many topics on this (the Argentina) forum and I still have a few questions...
First off, someone said that the average salary for an ESL teacher is around 1200 pesos a month...do the rest of you agree?
Second, how much is a usual one bedroom apartment? I read on another thread that it is around 450 U.S. dollars/month...which would be more than 1200 pesos. Can anyone tell me how much they think a one bedroom would be a month, please...in pesos if possible.
Third, can anyone tell me how much a moderately priced meal would be in pesos?
I'm just trying to figure out how much the cost of living would be and if I'd be able to afford to live in Argentina.
Thanks so much to anyone who has any answers for me...I really appreciate it!!! |

I would just point out that the $1200 salary is for BsAs. It'd be hard to earn that much in Cordoba for example - $1000 is more realistic. |

I would suggest getting away from BA, far too expensive. The rest of Argentina is alot cheaper. On the down size you will make a little less money teaching, but EVERYTHINg is alot cheaper. |
