I've taught in China before and now live in Peru. My husband and I are thinking about going back. The thing is that my husband is Peruvian and doesn't speak English, he's an engineer.
Ideally, we would like to be in the north, but not Shanghai or Beijing.
Any ideas on where to start looking for jobs for him? Are there an websites for spanish -speaking jobs for engineer? Or online newspapers to look at?
Thanks |

If he doesn't speak English or Chinese then there's no hope. No matter his job, he will have to communicate with Chinese staff, and that will be in English or Chinese, not spanish. |

Naturegirl, if he doesn'r speak English and is unwilling to teach then there is no hope. Most of the people in a non-teaching proffesion here come through a company based in their own country.
Does he have any other skills which he could put to use in China? If he speaks Spanish then the best thing for him to do is to teach the language. Spanish is not as popular as English, but there are some uni's offering Spanish language courses.
In reality, if you both decide to come to China, then you should expect to be the money earner. |
