I suppose that hooters and yoghurt have a vague connection. However Shiekh, I am sure that if l just happened to scream "penıs" on the street, you would come running round the corner.

Sooooo back to yoghurt!

Do you guys like the stuff? I like it on my iskender kebap, of course. Can't eat it outta a bowl like local folks. Eeeesh! I quite like cacık, though.

They are a bit obsessive about the stuff.

Watch a Turk when one of those yoghurt ads comes on the telly.

They salivate and start chanting:

och och nefis ya and smacking their lips.

My 20 month old kid loves the stuff and will eat a small bowlful no problem. He also loves the little danone ones-fruits of the forest being his favourite.

I had brunch yesterday morning at a small pastane where they have an open buffet. They had cacık-even I thought that was a bit too much for brunch.

Alex is very development.

I didn't used to like yoghurt, but over the last year I've found myself downing spoonfuls of it more and more... I like it with salt and garlic, and I like it with meat.

Ayran, however, I can't even bring myself to taste and I don't know why, because I like salty yoghurt. Maybe because it looks so much like milk...

My husband attempted to make yoghurt. He put milk and the culture stuff into a big jar and promptly forgot about it. It turned many beautiful and surprising colors.
