You have obviously never experienced Ghanaian culture or you wouldn't question this.
Funerals in Ghana are occasions for a lot of dressing up and dancing. They usually take place several months after the actual death and are a time when the whole community gets together to celebrate the life of the person.
I usually found myself going to a funeral at least once a month - sometimes even more.
The actual death is obviously a little more sombre but the funeral is something else! |

I'd like to add another one to my list of things that i miss...my mind...
oh, and not having to listen to my sister go on about how she went shopping and this that and the other and not having to argue politics with her. yeah. |
