Aren't we all just a little too serious on this board? What we need, IMHO, is a touch of levity to liven things up. So in that spirit I offer you, the perusing public, the absolute craziest sentence I have ever received from a student. This came from a young lady in an advanced writing class. The assignment was to write the most difficult sentence you possibly could and then each student was to build a paragraph around their sentence. Not my idea as I was a sub but the assignment went pretty well.
Just in case you think I am making this up, I assure you I am not. On my word of honor this is a true student submission:
"I would never imagine to have an orgy until I make progress in writing"
After I checked to see if she understood the meaning of "orgy" (she did), I made her write another sentence.

"My father likes to ride whores"
Written by an 8-year old who was trying to write "horse".
...good spelling, though... |

Okay, I'll play.
A k-9 student from KoJen writes: My Mother washed my cocks.
Pretty sure he meant "socks". |

I guess I'm missing out teaching kindy then. All that I can manage is for students to repeat 'I am silly'. It is a lot more fun than it sounds. But those youngsters do say some interesting things though. |

Ha, good idea for a thread!
Here is a story I heard from a friend recently. It's just a tiny bit graphic, so I apologize if it offends anyone. We are all adults though, so I think it's ok Here we go:
A friend was having sex with a Chinese guy. So, they are going along and everything is fine. She's enjoying herself, and he's definitely having a great time. The guy's getting excited and getting to the point where he wil be.... er.... finishing. He's getting a little louder and all of a sudden he starts screaming, "COMFORTABLE. OH! COMFORTABLE, COMFORTABLE!".
The girl immediately starts laughing so hard that she can't continue.
For those of us that speak Chinese, we know where this usage comes from. In Chinese, during, um... sexual relations... girls (and guys too, we just found out!), will say, "Shu Fu" in Chinese. "Shu Fu" most closely translates to the word "comfortable" in Chinese. This guy, apparently thought that screaming this word in English would be appropriate. Funny stuff. |

I'm certain we've all experienced students who write without leaving a suitable space between words:
The blue *beep* on the desk.
It would be more fun without the auto censor. The offending words are pen and is run together. |
