I lived there for a year and I still have friends living and working there.
The city has a beautiful centro historico. The industrial regions are.........
well..........industrial regions.
It seemed a bit expensive compared to other parts of Mexico, but definately a worthwhile experience.

For me it had a great vibe, went a few weeks ago when the festival was in town. Beautiful centre, vibrant open people as it's so close to Mexico City. Much cleaner than a lot of places too. Great base to travel from. I'd definitely recommend it. |

i visited once. everything i have read/heard about it and what i saw of it impressed me. it's a very livable place, relatively speaking. decent infrastructure, growing economy, low crime, clean, historic, not too expensive, some cultural events, several universities, decent weather, etc. etc. only 2 hours from DF when you get bored, not close enough to be a surburb (which is a good thing probably). if you want a central city that is not DF, i would rank it near the top. |
