TEFL is the same everywhere.

Want to know why?
Elephants work for peanuts. Monkeys work for bananas.
If you do not know the apprentice job, how can you demand journeyman's salary? |

| TEFL is too easy to get into and too difficult to get out of. |

I think you may be right about TEFL being too easy to get into but I reckon its just as easy or difficult to get out of as any other profession.
Look at the original post. Would you employ an ex-English teacher with such poor English?
If you are determined enough and work hard enough you can do what ever you want in this world, you really can! |

No of course you are free to comment but when you are offering advice about things you know nothing about such as PGCE funding requirements, you can expect some feedback.
I realise you must be so excited after passing your 4 week course but you are heading for a fall if you think TEFL is so great and that all doors will be open to you when you return from your exciting adventure. |

It's the fruits of experience that count, and as far as thrifty is concerned they only count if they are exceptionally bitter. |

| Fishy - Don't comment on others spelling until your consistent problem with the word 'grateful' is sorted, that kind of thing tends to irritate people. |

Casgul, thank you very much for spotting that. I am very grateful and have no doubt that I will never spell that word wrong again after my public shame.
A few people on here seem to be a bit bitter. Come on people, its Friday, the world cup has just started, and the sun is shining (here anyway.) |
