hi
does anyone know whether south africans
need to do the physical driving license test
to be issued with a japanese license?
everyone i have talked to has been very vague
on the issue. i know some countries just translate
your home country license and issue you with a japanese
license one time. i have a JAF translated version
and planning to go for it, just like to know how long
this might take...

| FWIW, I think most Commonwealth countries (and some beyond) are mostly excempt from taking the driving test -- but as always, results may (and often do) vary.... |

| Nope, south africans are in the same boat as Americans, Brazilans, etc. Gotta take the test. Sorry. Join the club. |
