Let me remind you that schools do size up their teaching staff needs in the beginning of July and start hiring then. So be where you want to be in September but in July and start making the contacts, sending out resumes, calling people, etc. etc.
I have walked in blind in several schools and just asked for the directors office and plopped my resumes with the secretary. If they are anticipating openings, they will interview me right then and there.
By the way, I have a BA in English, no TOEFL certificate and have gotten courses at three language schools, an acesoria, and a private university.
But I have also taught at American university for 7 years, so that might offset my lack of TOEFL background. |

I think you meant TEFL, not TOEFL. There's a big difference.... |
