Had a look in the Korean forum but couldn't find any info relevant to this query. Can anyone who has spent time in both Korea and Japan tell me if Korean jobs are advertised mainly on one day a week, mainly in one Korean newspaper a la `Japan Times`, and also if there is any one big chain company teaching mainly adults that`s the approx equivalent of Nova? |

Can't remember the Korean newspaper, think its the the Korean Times and no there isn't one special day with all the job ads. ECC is the big chain school. It mostly caters to uni students though.
Try this on the Korean forum, would get a better response I'm sure. |

When I was there the best source for jobs advertised in newspapers was the Korea Herald Monday edition.
Good Luck

Thanks for your help - much appreciated. Yes, I probably should have posted on the Korean Forum, but my registration there has been delayed |

it seems korean schools place more ads on the internet than in newspapers. just look at this website. korea has it's own section.
i lived in korea for two years and there were piddle amounts of ESL jobs in the three major english papers out of seoul.

ECC is the big chain school. |
ECC is the kiddie branch of the biggest adult chain school, YBM/SISA. Do a search for the name on the Korea forum and you'll come up with a gajillion hits. Pagoda and BCM are also both pretty big. Be advised, though, that if you're looking for a job at one of these places a heinous split shift is part of the deal. I think the internet is a better place to look for jobs than newspapers in Korea. |
