|
|
Myself and my partner are going to be looking for summer school work next summer (2007).
We need to know the best way to go about getting summer school work. Do we need to be there pounding the pavements, or can we arrange work from here? We're in Vietnam at the moment and will be gagging to get back to Europe by then.
Also any ideas where in Spain is best to head, if we need to get to Spain first and then look for work. We're not too bothered about where we just want to get to Spain.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks Alex. :D |

Try www.segundamano.com (it might only be printed in Spanish, but I'm not sure). tefl.com also tends to post all those summer positions. Unless things have changed, the money isn't great and the kids are...high energy. |

To answer the other part of your question, you will most likely need to do a bit of "pavement pounding," in so much as you will need to at least set foot in the country first.
Most Academies (if not all, as I've never really heard of it happening otherwise) require that you already be in Spain before even considering you for employment. I would assume this goes as well for summer camps.
Madrid would be the best place to start as most of the summer camp organizers will send you off to other parts of the country from there.

Hey there!
When you say summer work, do you mean that you would like to work in an academy, work as a private teacher, work in an English language camp, work in a bar, or wha?
Do you have work papers for Spain?
Let me know and maybe I can give you some advice more specific to your needs.
Later gators,
Phil |

We're wanting to teach English, whether that be at an academy or at a summer camp isn't an issue.
We're both British citizens, so I believe we can work anywhere in the EU.
Thanks, Alex. |
