|
|
I am looking to go to Taiwan to teach in the very near future. From what I can gather the best method is to have a few contacts under your belt and arrive with a 60-day tourist visa. Just to be sure what are the requirements for the 60 day tourist visa besides a passport, fee, photos and return airline ticket? Is there any reason I would be denied this document? If so I would feel quite bad about buying a $700 ticket. Any info?
Also, is there anyone that is actually IN Taiwan at the moment? Having lived abroad for several years in several different locations I always find the hardest part is finding a nice social circle. Is there anyone who'd like to grab a drink in the near future?
Thanks all for the info. |

by all means, try to get this visa back home in the land of your passport issuing nation. americans (eg) can get 60 day visas in america, but not so easily outside it. a thirty day visa oftentimes isn't enough and you'll be necessitated to enjoy the splendour of hong kong a couple of times.
contact your nearest taipei cultural affairs office for their specific requirements. they are in the major cities plus KC, HNL and a few other second tier towns. |
