To redress the balance of this avalanche (mud slide) of mud slinging at the host country and its people ... and to show that it was all in the spirit of give and take ... what pisses you off most about your (overseas) colleagues ... and / or what can you never say to them ...

Razz Yeah! I just love to b.itch!

1. printed tshirts under dress shirts. dude! think we cant see that? very sexy, indeed

2. lies. "I've got this and that back home. I went to Eton. Blah Blah." Yeah, right.

3. "I've got a real job in a Turkish office." Uh huh. So, what's my job, then?

4. Gets into a taxi and says "Migros, please." Learning a few words in Turkish won't kill ya.

5. Goes to the school and says "we need another fork for the flat". Hmmmm. Three teachers have 6000 lira coming into that flat each month but you can't buy a fork?!

Thanks. That was fun!

Oh yeah,
6. pissed off teacher who b.itches about everything on eslcaf...wait! That's me! Shocked

Sheikh you are the greatest. I am so excited by being able to get all the misery that I feel about my colleagues' irritating habits and behaviour that I am going to watch a knock-off dvd, drink half a dozen Efes and tomorrow when I am all hungover and extra mean-let it all rip.

Thank-you Sheikh for this opportunity.

What really ticks me off are

1. ex-pat fools who have been here less than a year and think they know it all.

2. those that complaine all the time but make no plans to move

3. those that say they never have enough but get pissed every night.

A certain line from Pulp's 'Common People' seems written for some TEFLers -

"And everyone hates a tourist .. especially one who thinks its all ... such a laugh"

And thrifty, have a couple on me if it will help the venom flow ...

He needs something to help the venom flow? No, I believe that venom and misery come entirely naturally to "thrifty" without any help. Wink
