I don't have any classes to teach! All my students are freshmen, so they're on military training, but surprisingly to me, they won't come back until November! Is anybody else in this situation? What are you doing for fun/entertainment? I know there are a million things I could be doing, but I just need to get off my butt. I read something in a poem once about this kid who complained to a relative that he was bored, and the person said if he was bored, he had "no inner resources." Well, I guess I have no inner resources. |

My wife and I came back early from Hong Kong because we were told the students would be here. Well, they were here but had military training (grade 1 in high school). So we had three weeks of just waiting to be told it was OK to teach them now. Could've been in HK the whole time, free lodging, right by Stanley Instead we sat in the rice paddies of Hunan. I did a lot of reading, thank goodness I'd picked up a bunch of books in HK. |
