Another good point there, the interview was 1pm, so i guess the traffic wasnt so bad, guess i'll have to convince my fiance that we'll be getting a flat nearer to my work place. |

I commuted for six months from Kadıky to work 40 mins past the Kadir Haas place. I tried various routes-ferry/bus/tramway/seabus but unless you want to spend money on taxis every day it is going to take a long time.
I had the same problem as you-where to rent a flat when you work on one side and your relatives and the place you know is on the other. I made the mistake of moving way out on the outskirts near justme. OK flats are very cheap out here and getting to work much easier but you do lose a lot by living out in the sticks.
If you expect to be working at Kadir Hass for a long time (something you cannot be sure of until you find out what it is like) I would suggest somewhere like Bakirkoy-you can get the seabus to Kadıky or Bostancı and so easy to visit the relatives and so easy to get from there to Kaidr Hass. Also you can still have a social life. Downside of course is that it is expensive. |
