You can twist words however you want, SNS, but you know as well as me (sic) that a major thrust of political unrest in modern China centres upon the legitimacy of its rulers.
..as well as I, HH, as well as I... and no, I 'know' no such thing; the major thrust of political unrest in modern China centres upon other factors, in my opinion.

The CCP is a dinosaur and a fake one at that, much like the culture of lies and fakes it has so irresponsibly permitted to replace genuine Chinese culture and ethics in mainland China today. Lying, forgery, unaccountability, irresponsibility and illegitimacy begin at the top in the PRC and work their way down through the entire fabric of society. Personally I think its time for a change.

Possibly. On the other hand Deng and his successors have done an amazing job in transforming China from an undeveloped, hungry, extremely poor and backward society into a nation that feeds itself, maintains a huge trade deficit with the RoW, especially the US, and provides means of economic betterment for hundreds of millions of its citizens, as well as one that is beginning to challenge the US as an economic and political superpower.

Try substituting the words 'The Republican Party", 'American', 'USA' and 'US' for 'The CCP', 'Chinese', 'China' and 'PRC' in your concluding paragraph. Perhaps "[l]ying, forgery, unaccountability, irresponsibility and illegitimacy" are par for the course within the governments of major political and economic powers these days...
