On realizing that there is quite a large French community living in Saigon; I thought it might be a good place to study French, and in doing so make some new friends and become a better language teacher; so I took a private teacher, and have just enrolled at a French institute in Phu Nhuan district; well, I really recommend this to everyone, as a good community experience as well as a way to remind oneself on the processes involved in language learning; many a time I hear my colleagues complaining about their 'stupid' students and I honestly think they should get back into the classroom themselves!
Anyway, I highly recommend IELF in Phu Nhuan,

The best place in the world to learn both English and French at the same time is Montreal, the largest Francophone city in the world outside Paris. I have many advanced students of English who sit in my class and think there is still something more to be learned, but never try French just down the hall. I feel sorry for them.
I have never understood the obssession with English on the part of many students at the cost of missing out on some other great languages like French.
Quelle dommage!

Oh! How I miss that cheese!!
And that other hidden treasure: the Canadian estate bottled vintage white wine to go with the crumbly little morsals
And soon it will be peach time - Canadian peaches - Ah! With a half bottle of one of the world's finest sweet white wines |
