I am from Shanghai, China. I used to teach 7-9 years old kids' English for one and a half years and now I teach mandarin in some mandarin centers.
My bf is from Canada and he is planning to go to teach in Vietnam. I really want to go there with him, but I am so confused how to get a job there.
Could anybody give me some suggestion?
Thanks a million! |

If my students are anything to go by, Chinese lessons are very, very popular in HCMC right now, though I suspect there are plenty of ethnic Chinese VNese here to cater for that need. Worth looking into maybe. |

Thank you so much! Do the students there study Chinese in schools? |

I don't think so, they have to go to private language schools or university to do so. Maybe check the schools list on this site or www.saigonesl.com. |

In some schools they do, yes. Mandarin or Cantonese? Mandarin is the subject of choice, most ethnic Chinese in Vietnam are Cantonese-speakers. |
