Haven't you got any "eskici baba" in Ankara? They buy second hand stuff and collect. |

YES IT IS A F******N PITY.......BUT.....
ha ha ha i am giggling like a madman(woman) because
I GAVE MY NOTICE at my school
and i am coming to Ist in August even though i dont exactly have a new job yet!!!!!!!!!
but even that cannot dampen my spirits
not even the fact that i just had my hair butchered for a very low price can dampen my spirits
etc

Well, I am happy because you are happy! I think Istanbul is the best place to live in Turkey("WHAT?!") I'll be moving there soon, too. YEAH!(I'll have to change my name.)The problem is that I'll need enough cash to frequently get out of Istanbul.
Holiday places are good for holidays and big cities(what I've seen) in Turkey suck. So, give me Istanbul with the nightlife, the shopping, and the shop owners n assistants who don't freak out when a foreigner walks in, the bosphorous at night, the.... I could go on n on. |

Oh, let me go on for you. There's the creamed corn haze in the sky; the murky, trash-filled waters of the glorious bosphorous; the glue-sniffers begging, and occasionally stabbing, for money; the ridiculous impracticality of navigating the horrendous public transport system (if you can call it a system); the absurdly high-prices (4 drinks at a smart bar last night - 80 YTL)... Still, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Turkey... How does this city do that to us??? |
