|
|
My situation. I'm staying in Japan a week or so after my contract expires this summer before flying home. When my contract expires, so too does my medical coverage provided by the company. Any recommendations about where I can get about a week's worth of coverage. Credit card health travel insurance program not an option. Any decent online providers? Or a place in Tokyo?
Thanks in advance. |

Have you talked to the company which provides the insurance through your company? I'd think that they'd be happy to relieve you of some cash to extend your coverage for a week.
I wouldn't worry about it, but perhaps you have a reason. |

Ya, I asked my company if they could ask their insurance company to extend for the alloted time, but apparently they can't (or don't want to be bothered) to do it.
Anyone every bought travel insurance via a site like Lonely Planet or Rough Guide? Just wondering if the rules stipulate the purchase must be made prior to departure. |
