I haven't moved to Thailand from the UK yet so I am just looking at getting some feedback at the moment on apartments in Bangkok.
My main requirements are Cable TV (showing English Premiership football), a gym of some description and air-con.

I understand that renting the apartment after finding a job is essential but what I would like to know is:

What standard of apartment are you living in and what price do you pay?
What level of service do you receive from the staff?
What are the noise levels like?
What is the best form of searching for a property (Agent, on your own, with A Thai pal, or fellow experienced ex-pat)?

Any other useful points you wish to share would be greatly appreciated
