Hello, I have been offered a position in Sendia and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on the generals. What the city is like to live in. Is it fairly modern. How far is it from Tokyo City. Weather. Things to do. Ext.
I was told it is a large city, but I wanted an insiders perspective.

Did you find it hard to meet other EFL teachers?

Thanks so much, any info would be a big help.

Hi, m.
I responded to your other post about Sendai. As far as wanting to meet other EFL teachers goes, you'll see plenty of them around the downtown area on weekends. There are two huge bookstores with English novels, magazines, dictionaries, etc... One is Kinokuniya and the other is Maruzen. You're bound to run into other foreigners there on the weekends. There's also an international center near Sendai Castle. Lots of foreigners there.

Good luck
