I work for an English magazine in Taipei as an editor/ writer/ actor/ teacher. I'm thinking of moving to Japan in the fall. If at all possible, I'd like to do voice recording, acting, and / or (freelance) writing there. Does
anyone knows of such jobs in Japan? Would they all be located in Tokyo? |

There are some talent agents in Tokyo, but sorry, I have no names or numbers for you. Also there are some theatre groups, which you could join up with, and can probably make connections that way. Check out the classifieds in the Metropolis magazine for contact information.
As far as freelance writing, you can write for The Tokyo Notice Board and get 1000 Yen or so. Perhaps somebody will like your stuff and try to contact you.
Don't know about voice recording. If you sound like a high school science teacher, you might be able to find work with the publisher's of Japanese For Busy People. All the guy says is, "Lesson 1. Key vocabulary," and I'm ready for a nap.
Good luck. |

What is your country of origin? It is very difficult for certain nationalities (like the US for example) to get entertainment visas. You'll need one to work in entertainment in Japan. |
