Just out of interest.
How many of us are at work, using the company's hardware to browse the net and not paying for the use of it. Are you actually being paid to read this???
Anyone been caught out by the boss.
Who has an arrangement? |

I'm here half the time from home, half the time from work. Depends on my work load.
As for using the school's computer and "not paying for the use of it", that's just a perk. I don't feel guilty at all. Did the same thing back in the States in my other line of work (as did every co-worker). Abuse that privilege, and you should feel guilty. |

This is my work computer, but I'm home now. It's a laptop but I rarely bring it to work.
So when I'm on Dave's, I'm at home. |

I got DSL at home so that I wouldn't have to rush into school at 7:30 to use the internet, and now I'm online all the time. At home, during my breaks at school (yeah, I use their equipment, but that's why it's there, ?no?).

I am at work, in the department. However, the rule here is that we must spend our breaks at the school, preferably in the dept. Today I have only 2 lessons- at noon and at half past one. Since I am here from 9am until 4pm, I have plenty of time to surf the net, do emails, etc. My lesson plans can be done in an hour so I tend to have 4 or 5 hours to kill... We get free use of the school's internet connection in the flats too, so I often hook up my laptop after hours. I see no problem there: it was offered to us. |

Public holiday so no way I'm at the school today
We've a wireless LAN at work though so in my breaks I can post here on my laptop which I use at work. |

The only time I'm actually supposed to be working is in class (they expect nothing else, although I take it upon myself to do more - like prepare lessons etc.)
I actually have this much free time (although the MA has certainly cut into that.) |

I mostly post from home and lurk at work. Usually if I'm at work, I'm either in class, prepping for class, or chatting with the boss, so there isn't much time left over to surf. My boss doesn't care if I surf the net during my free time at work, however, as long as my work gets done (and it always does) and I show up to classes on time (and I always do). Nonetheless, when I do have free time, I tend to prefer to spend it with my little one at home. |

You are the boss, I suppose you put this down as research don't you?
are you paying yourself to do this or is it purely voluntary? |

I didn't answer my own question for the benefit of those who posted.
I never post at work, only from home hence the infrequency of postings and abundance of posts per visit most recently. no work tomorrow. |
