you can take early Social Security at age 62; if it lasts 10 more years, the Supreme Court ruling could affect anyone 52 and up, and if it lasts for 15 years, age 47 and up

Fedor, one other piece of info that I thought of that might help is that be aware that living in a small Asian town might not be the adventure you were dreaming of. The one nice thing about JET. This is only second hand information from my co-worker but there are a lot of teachers and they often get together in each others towns on weekends so it is not so lonely. But I live in a small Korean town and it can be frustrating at times if you cannnot speak the language well.
For example if you would like a girlfriend or boyfriend, especially an exotic local it can be hard to meet someone in the countryside since most people don't speak English well in these areas. |
