I have an American friend who has just sat for her licence in Nagoya. Been driving about 15 years in US etc but the testing officers in japan are anal about procedure. You usually have to pay a chunk of money to get lessons so you get through the driving test. the whole thing is a huge scam here, with money going into the pockets of the driving center officials many of whom are ex-policemen.
They check you on things you would never even think about back home and you can fail if you get one wrong. |
