Come on people, at least type like you're English teachers |
I suspect that Happy_Me is a students from the PRC who has been thrown off the student forums for his anti-westen protests (and extremely poor English language skills). |

Today, an advertisement appeared in Dave's pages, wanting a teacher at EF, between the ages of 22 and 30. |
So, what are you really saying here? If you're using commas the way one might use parentheses, is the parenthetical phrase "wanting a teacher at EF"? If so, then the advertisement appearing in Dave's pages (pages that are between the ages of 22 and 30) wants a teacher at EF.
From the back of a recent book by Lynne Truss titled Eats, Shoots & Leaves:
Quote: |
A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.
"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |
Seriously, though, what is this seeming fascination with young people at EF? |

Despite what people might want to believe there is discrimantion everywhere in the world when it comes to jobs - they are just more blatant in Asia.
Take a job in the West that requires a degree. Does n't that doscriminate against all those who could not afford a university education?
It is same same. |

yeah but in the west u cant put min and max ages in the job advert. and getting a degree is not always about money, some people arent bright enough or have enough discipline to finish 4 years. requiring a certain amount of knowlegde as necessay for a job is not discrimination. can u imagine hiring someone who has never even been in a kitchen for the position of head chef of a 5 star restaurant? bet that would go over real well. |
