I've heard there are ESL jobs at RLC at a good rate of pay, apparently offered by Qatar Gas. Anybody knows anything about it? And any comments on RLC as a place?

Thanks

I lived in Qatar for 3 years.Ras Laffan is on the tip of Qatar and home to Rasgas and Qatar Gas-there is nothing there except a compound and a little corniche. However,Qatar is small and Doha is 45 minutes away if you drive like and arab.I will say though that the QG compound is newish and the housing is really nice.I loved living there when i worked fr QP.

Thanks for the info. I thought it would be a back of the beyond kind of job. I wonder why so many quit.

All the taechers I know who worked at QP(contracted) originally started out as a sub contracted teacher through QAC then became direct hire. I don't think theyb recruit from outside the country. biffinbridge can give better info about direct hire.

The Gulag sends some teachers out to RL. Some of the places there have their own teachers - mainly married women they don't have to sponsor and don't have to offer benefits to. Some of these ladies don't even have teaching qualifications but they are native speakers.
