They are sure graphic in the x rated sense and into all sorts of sexual diversions. I read one one the net that was in English, because it was on sale in Canada. Seems as though they are into male dominance and other stuff. I haven't been into a comic store in Japan. Are the comics availabe everywhere.
I know their sale in Korea is forbidden.
I posted something on another site about the popularityof comic reading in Japan and Korea, and somebody posted an excellent description of what's available in Japan. Hence my introduction to the more explicit nature of Japanese comics. |

Such comics are not considered pornography but are more like art, as they are not photographs.
Sleaze is still sleaze and you can see many adult salarimen reading them on the train. You can but them at station kiosks or most bookstores. There is nothing illegal in japan about graphic cartoons but in some 'manga' there is a white space where genitalia are supposed to be . Censorship exists in cartoons as well.
Ps I would not be surprised if they have such manga for women as well. Usually Mills and Boon type stuff.
PSS this stuff is a modern version of Shunga which is Japanese erotic art that goes back centuries. Japanese dont have the hangups about the naked body that westerners obviously do. Its pretty well known that the US is a nation of prudes. |

Doesn't stop the younger crowd from getting their hands on the stuff.

The comics are filthy! But great if you need a flick of the wrist. |

Ok, so the art was always there, and maybe the west could overcome their prudery a bit. Was their dialogue that went with the original woodcuts, or was it just a description of what was going on?
Seems the Hentai comics have taken what has been culture and debased it with low and coarse dialogue. |

Type "shunga" into Google's image search (or Amazon, if you want to purchase them in book form) and, um, you'll see |
