When I get to Japan I'm thinking about getting a pre-paid mobile phone.
My choice seems to be Vodafone or KDDI (NTT Docomo don't offer
pre-paids anymore, as far as I know).
Does anybody have (or had) a pre-paid mobile phone?
Which company?
Any big negatives (e.g. coverage areas)?
Thanks |

Had Tu-ka prepaid. No problems. Very expensive to use. |

I had a the basic vodafone prepaid phone. It's alright. The cheapest phone you can get is 4000 yen and it's pretty crappy. With vodafone if you go with a more expensive phone then you can switch to a plan without getting a new phone.
In the end I switched to a regular plan. But the prepaids aren't bad if you only plan on emailing (texting). |
