|
|
Hi, I'm new to Jakarta, but already I've noticed a fair share of piercing and tattoo parlours in my area. Upon further investigation, they were selling MXPX, Sex Pistols, etc. My question is: Where is the local punk venue? Where could one catch a show?
PS> An addition aside, if anyone is interested in PnP RPG, give a holler. |

Not too sure about punk, its around, but a long time since I have seen a show there. You could go to the underground mall in Blok M and ask any of the metal heads down there, most are pretty friendly guys and if you make a friend they can show you around the scene. There is a great deal of crossover between musical styles there, so they should be able to help. |

No worries, let me know how you go. With the way things are here in Korea, I could be down there myself pretty sharpish. |

There are quite a few punk (and metal) bands in Indonesia, but gigging is a bit spasmodic. |

Jaga, as one waegookin to another- don't come to Indonesia unless you are really sure you want to come to Indonesia. I've been here 3 months, and frankly unless you like cheap beer (quality not price) and pool, then you will be stone bored. I could rag on and on about the place, but I won't (pm if you want all that), but I will say that for the wage it pays, you have to love Indonesia to want to come here. |
