Ipod/Digital camera prices in Shanghai vs. Hong Kong

How much do older model (but still good) digital cameras go for in Shanghai vs. Hong Kong?

Is it worth making a trip to Hong Kong to pick up a camera and an ipod, or should I not bother and buy both in Shanghai?

Where are the best deals in Shanghai for REAL ipods and cameras? How much would I be looking to spend in both cities?

I'm based in HK but spend half my time in mainland China.

I have bought both IPOD and digital camera in HK

There are so many fakes and other problems buying stuff on the mainland. If you are going to spend a bit of money I don't think it's worth buying this stuff on the mainland. If you go to a reputable shop in HK and buy IPOD or digital, you know you are getting the real thing, with English handbooks and proper warranties.

I do buy a lot of stuff in Shenzhen and Guangzhou and Shanghai but NOT computers, IPODS or digital cameras.

If however you just want a really cheap MP3 player, then go ahead and buy on the mainland. Don't expect it to last and don't expect to be able to use it properly unless you also speak chinese.
