Can anyone provide info on the teacher training courses offered by the British Council in Jeddah? I checked out their website however I couldn't find any info on Celta or Delta courses, which is what I'm interested in mostly.

To check out information on CELTA and DELTA go to the Cambridge site. They have a list of all centres world-wide.

They are comtemptuously indifferent to anybody outside their public school mafia. You would be a lot better advised to do a ditance learning course through a UK university.

A friend of mine sent them many e mails enquiring about courses. They
ignored most of his e mails and eventually referred him to some Egyptian woman who could not write proper English. They are not exactly the best course providers being rather a job creation scheme for public school types with third class degrees.

Presumably they refused to give henry a job when he applied to them.

And if the poster followed my advice and went to the Cambridge ESOL site (google for Celta) he would have found that there are no courses in Jeddah.

The views expressed by some people about the British Council are grossly out of date. The majority of country directors have NOT been to public school or Oxbridge. An increasing number started out as 'mere' EFL teachers. The British Council's Gulf Regional Director was a teacher in Riyadh in the mid 90s.
