| Sounds like it's awfully easy to get a Canadian passport... |
Easy - perhaps. But extremely time-consuming. 3 years or residency + about 3 years to get processed - lengthy checks, etc.
For Muslims, that is. White Europeans tend to get their citizenship within about 6 months (after the 3 year waiting period) - from my experience. |

Oops! Sorry Thrifty you are right. I should have added, "8 years ago..."
There is a theory that no country with Starbucks has ever attacked another. It still stands true, I believe they tried to open Starbucks in Isreal and failed miserably. |

| If they are looking for any TEFL work then Mersin is not the place to be. |
I heard that the Mersin Academy of Marine Merchants is offering a salary of 800 YTL plus substandard accommodation. |

An American, a Scot and a Canuk were in a terrible car accident. They were all brought to the same emergency room, but all three of them died before they arrived. Just as they were about to put the toe tag on the American, he stirred and opened his eyes. Astonished, the doctors and nurses present asked him what happened.
"Well," said the American, "I remember the crash, and then there was a beautiful light, and then the Canadian and the Scot and I were standing at the gates of heaven. St. Peter approached us and said that we were all too young to die, and that for a donation of $100, we could return to the earth."
He continued, " So of course, I pulled out my wallet and gave him the $100, and the next thing I knew I was back here."
"That's amazing!" said one of the doctors, "But what happened to the other two?"
"Last I saw them," replied the American, "the Scot was haggling over the price and the Canadian was waiting for the government to pay for his." |

Throughout its history Canada has provided citizenship to foreigners mostly for humanitarian reasons, anything from war refugees to people facing persecution because of political affiliation, religious belief, and sexual orientation. |

This topic was about refugees, yet some how its turned into this thing about Canada.
I used to say that Canada was Australia with bad weather..
Now days I can still say that same thing as well as adding the fact that Canada has a more inderpented international world view then O.Z....
Yes somehow you people to the North of the great white şaytan, have yout own voice; unlike my poor country that keeps voting dirty little John Howard in..... |
