Is anyone interested in forming a group to play any style of tabletop RPG? anything is possible from the classic D&D to World of darkness or other. I have the majority of the books (in .pdf format), so that won;t be an issue. Email me at [email protected] or post your reply here. |

Dan, others will disagree, but there ain't $h1t to do here brother. You could go to the mall, which is as fun as it sounds. You go drink the world's worst beer (makes Hite look like the finest German brew). You could play pool which is what most seem to do. Its a bit boring down here. |

Well... just so you know... one must be willing to adapt to their conditions in order to thrive. What have you done to adapt to your conditions in Indonesia? |

Hello, can I ask what things you can do in other cities that you believe you can't do here? Maybe some people can help? |

Papua- When can I get you that drink? I completly forgot.
Dan- I have been here 2 months, and after I finished working my 6 weeks of 11 hour days, I have adapted as much as possible without agreeing to date my secretary.
Fishy- I am into Punk rock, computer hacking, RPG's, and other general nerd activities. I am not into drinking, pool (billiards), or womanizing. Any ideas? |

Dear Fishy,
Going for a decent walk/bike ride can be somewhat more challenging in Jakarta than in Singapore, KL, Hong Kong blah dee blah.
However, there are numerous eveing activities that are somewhat easier |

Ahhh...come on, let's have a beer. It won't hurt. It is possible to have a good night in Jakarta without womanizing (shock!). It really is an interesting city to tour around at night, if you have access to a motorcycle. there are places here, off the main 'map' you have to see to believe
Alternatively, sports! KONI (near Senayan) should provide everything you need in way of sports clubs (also a golf driving range).
Secretary - well, that is one way to pass the time |

do you like computer games? I've been known to burn a few hours playing Counter Strike and World of Warcraft.
other than that, you might enjoy a day trip to Carita/Anyer beach. |
