|
|
Hey everybody,
I'm thinking taking Tefl int'l up on their offer for a "special Thai project," which starts at the end of sept.
In exchange for undergoing a 1-month intensive training session, and then teaching for 4 months after that (while receiving 30,000 baht + housing ea month), one gets a free TESOL cert., plus experience. The teaching jobs are in government schools.
here's the link for the program: http://teflintl.com/thai_special_project.htm
Does anyone know if this is legitimate, or a good deal? Any comments or advice would be much appreciated. Is the tefl int'l certificate a good one?
thanks,
Andy |

I forgot to mention this, but this is the same deal being advertised on one of this site's banner ads.

This has already been covered in a few threads.
If you want training get training.
If you want a job afterwards get it yourself as it's VERY easy to do so....there's no need whatsoever to pay for a job. |

If someone is looking for a cert, this is a very good deal. |

Ive been browsing this forum for a few months now although this is my first post. After spending considerable time searching for the dream course, job and country I have had to conclude they dont exist!
I recently signed up for the Thai special project. I understand all the negatives, but I think the positives (free cert, group of people all in the same situation, job placement guaranteed and organised for you etc.) outweigh them. I figure after the course and job placement Ill know if TEFL is for me and can then pursue other/better jobs in Thailand or elsewhere.
I would be interested to hear from others who have signed up to this project. |
