Basic tax is 20%, although there is a low threshold under which you don't pay. 7.5% health payment plus some other small sundry ones (local and INPS) - so somewhat less than 8 at your marginal rate. Don't think you need worry about the rate for higher earners!
Look for the Agenzia delle Entrate website - can't find at the mo, but they do a guide in English. |

Hi all,
I'm new to this site, hope everyone's had a good weekend.
Was thinking of starting my own thread then noticed one's already been started on the very subject I wanted to talk about!
I am going to be teaching in Naples from september. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice about this city, any places they recommend going to, any they recommend avoiding etc.
I've read a bit in my guidebook that pettty crime is a bit of a problem but I figure so long as I don't wave my wallet about and wear 'I love Naples' t-shirts I should be ok....?! And If I stick to the main streets etc?
Also, if anyone's there right now and will be in september, or is heading out there around that time, it would be really cool to meet up.
My rent will be roughly 300 and my salary around 1100 gross, I guess this will be ok to live on? I'll be arriving with a bit of savings aswell so I won't be completely broke.....straight away anyway!
Really would appreciate any advice, cheers |
