Hi guys,

I'm an Australian who is going to apply for a Working Holiday visa for Hong Kong. I was wondering what options are open to me in getting an EFL position of some sort? What is the average salary? Where could I search for them?

I have a CELTA and I'm finishing of a Masters of Education specializing in TESOL at present with only a couple of subjects remaining. I don't have a bachelors degree.

Sorry if this question has been posed before but I couldn't find much with previous posts.

Cheers

on a working holiday visa you can work in any industry.
a teaching job in a tutorial centre shouldn't be hard to find. just check out the south china post. they have a website that lists jobs avaliable. can't really comment on the salary as it varies widely from center to center.

a question for you - how are you doing a masters when you don't have a bachelor's degree? i thought you had to have a bachelors to study for a masters degree. have i been misinformed?

Website is www.classifiedpost.com

I completed MBA without having a bachelors. I enrolled as a mature student where work experience is taken into account.

Thanks for the response.

Yeah it seems weird but I was able to get into the Master program after completing a CELTA yay! They don't offer the TESOL degree as a batchelors.

Cheers
