Any news media about the JonBenet Ramsey case in Thailand? News coming in is that the prime suspect is a teacher there. I assume he will face an extradition hearing before he's sent back to the States. Still waiting on a pic here. Apparently the guy was arrested on sex charges. |

His name is John Carr. CNN has him in Thailand for 8 months and in jail for "an unrelated sex crime." The report said he entered Thailand as an English teacher.
So who knows this guy? |

Here in the U.S. over night I have heard them play a recorded confession that he was present with her at the time of her death. |

yeah, there seem to be conflicting reports.
but here's an interesting quote from abcnews.com:
Quote: |
The suspect, who has been in Thailand five times over the past two years, was being detained by immigration police pending arrival of U.S. officials, Suwat said.
When asked how he could travel for so many years in Asia, and whether he was independently wealthy, Hurst responded, "We're asking the same questions."
Police said Karr had been living in a dormitory-style hotel called The Blooms in a neighborhood of massage parlors and travel agents that cater to expatriate residents and sex tourists. The nine-story hotel offers rooms for as short as three-hour rentals.

but there seem to be some major disagreements between this report and a few others i read. i guess it's too recent. |

well now some of the things he is confessing to are not adding up to the crime. He said he had givin the girl drugs, but no drugs were founf on the autopsy. There is now talk that the confession may be a hoax. Are Thai prisons so bad that a person would confess to a nasty crime in america just to get out?

I am not going to name names here, they are already named over on TeflWatch. Facts are this: There were allegations of misconduct while he was employed at one school in Bangkok, he taught at another one in Bangkok as well. According to AP, he taught at one of the schools for only two weeks but I have information that he was currently employed at the school. |
