I was initially confused by your posts but I now realise that the content has in fact been randomly generated by a computer, rather like those spam e-mails you get sometimes.

The answer to your question is of course: bilateral elephant

Hostels in Central?

There are some small hotels around Lan Kwai Fong.

There are some flea ridden hostels in both TST and Causeway Bay which will probably charge you the same a four star hotel (from a discount agent).

Other than that consider serviced apartments.

how the heck can a 4 star hotel charge the same as a hostel. I think hostel dorms go for 150/night. Do you know of a Central hotel that has that rate?

It is very simple.

The counter check in prices is let's say.... $850 - 1200 per night.

Now if you go therough a booking agency, you might be able to get for $3xx per night, next enquire about long term stay. In hotel terms that is 1 month plus.

With regards to hostels, well I can't say I have stayed at any. But I recall hearing of 7K a month for a few. Possibly heard about them here on Dave's.

I seriously doubt there are any hostels in Central, let alone any ay $150 per night. Possibly in TST. There are two buildings called Chueng King Mansion and Mirador Mansions. Both are Backpaper type places. I have passed by Chueng King Mansions and it gives me the creeps!

TST is a short ferry ride or MTR journy from Central. But Central isn't a backpaper type accommodation area.

Might be useful for future reference if you post soem info on whatever you find to this site.

Chris

ya it is simple, and causeway bay is the area. Victoria park (Paterson street) seems to be the prime hostel area (if you want to be on HK island) and avoid the horrible TSM Chungking and Mirrador warehouses.

Sun Kong hostel offers 3000/month. I may take that. I also like couchsurfing where I get to invade people's homes for a few days.

Rinse and then repeat Smile

Try Bishop Lei International House - http://www.bishopleihtl.com.hk/

It's located at the Mid-level very close to the Central station.

or YWCA -
