I went shoping with a young lady and she was buying a present for her nephew who is one year old. She said let's go to a Disney shop so we did and I said buy a Pluto soft dog and she said OK and then said 'Hey! what about a GAP shirt?' I said 'What? For a one-year old? He wont like it don't make a child a fashion acsessory!'
What do you think ladies and gentlmen? Are brands more popular in Japan? Can babies apreciate them?

brands are pretty popular in the states...go through all those silly magazines and you will see baby models, showing off really expensive brand names...
But I dont really know anyone who would buy a poor child a disneys t-shirt for his birthday...thats a little over the top...

When I was in Hong Kong last month, walking through a Duty Free shop, I saw this well-dressed chav (you can't polish a turd) and his wife looking around the Ralph Lauren section for their 3 year old kid.

I think kids in designers clothes look stylish but as they grow up, they become annoying, fashion-victim loons. Plus it's a waste of money. Kids have accidents, kids grow quickly. Plus one must remember, style doesn't come from money, it comes from taste.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the demotion of Pluto to status of a "Dwarf Planet" which has me royalled steamed.

But pleasantly I was mistaken.

Isn't that racist against dwarfs? They should use PC words like a verticlay challenged plant? Confused

very racist! I was watching a discovery channel show yesterday on dwarfs (real people) and if I were one of those really saddened children I wouldnt be happy about pluto being called a dwarf.
Its a planet, Dwarf/Dwarfism is a medical term...think of a new "planet" term people! geez...
Just make a word up...lets see if I can do it...Hieaitakus...there we go. Hieaitakus Pluto! Look it up in the "Melissa Dictionary" find "Hieaitakus": Hieaitakus-a very small planet (ex. Pluto). That was so simple, and I didnt offend anyone (at least I hope I didnt..).
some people really are idiots... Laughing Laughing Laughing

I am all for scientific advancement, but this is hardly such, some things do not need to be changed.

But that's the problem, if Pluto was considered a planet then there are 3 others that deserve that status too. So the solar system would change to 12. The status quo wasn't an option.

That's the joy of science, it keeps on changing!

Where I am from, they are called "Little people" - Dwarf is politically incorrect! Wink

As for having twelve planets now, I want to know what the new rhyme or song is to remember them all in the correct order! Any ideas??

Hmmm...chotto off-topic. But I think the new rhyme is my very educated mum just served us nachos. Becausd there are ate planets not twelve. Poor Pluto. But poor NASA for sending a spaceship to a planet that is now not one.
Do you like planets chirpy?
