Kent Kruehoffer was kind enough to make some time for me a couple of days ago in the "Big Mango". It is really useful to talk face to face with people "on the ground". The forum is a mine of information but a good chat can reinforce the information.
I am sure regulars will have noted Kent's contributions to this forum. Thanks again Kent.  |

He seems to be a walking Asia encyclopedia and, even better, happy to share that wisdom. Nice that he is the same face to face.

Absolutely amazing Kent, that you can create such a montage based on a single sentence. Telling you, if things don't go the way I've planned I am coming straight down there and looking to get set up in Thailand, to heck with slogging it out here in the Big Mikan, enough is enough, time for some quality over quantity.
By the way Kent, what's on tap for this evening down there or how about this weekend?

Wow Kent, sounds like a killer place. How come there aren't places like that here? Guess the emphasis there is on lifestyle and here the opposite. Reminds me of driving along the coast here and seeing a town several miles up the road, appearing and disappearing with the curves in the road, all the time I am imagining getting there and stopping to enjoy the view and perhaps eating, drinking, meeting people and having some fun. But when we get there there is absolutely not a thing going on and nothing worth stopping for.
Have one for me over there this evening Kent and have a great weekend! |
