Why would you want to wish ill will for anybody? Did you not learn anything from your experiences?

I recently left there, and although there were fewer students at the branch than when I started, I don't think they'll close anytime soon.

As the previous person asked, why would you want to see a company close, and 5000 people suddenly unemployed with bills to pay, and little money to get home, or at least get by a month before taking some bottom of the barrel job? I think a sudden closure would be disastrous on many levels. People would accept the 200,000 Yen salaries that are out there, and it would cause many companies to follow.

Maybe you had a bad experience, I don't know? Mine wasn't too bad, and I still have friends working there. I'd hate to see them struggle.

Also, and I should have started a thread, but I did request and receive my final wages within 7 days. Basically, I just sent a fax requesting all outstanding wages be paid within 7 days in accordance with article 23 of the Japanese Labour Standard Laws. I know some people have asked before if this law is really valid.

Personally, I would never work for them, but I do recognize the fact that the company provides employment for a lot of people, and if they can help a young person come to Japan and experience this country, then it is a positive thing.
I'm just glad I've had other employment options!

I don't think it'll go down any time soon. It seems there no shortage of stupid Japanese people with too much money on their hands.

Hoser's post says more about Hoser than it does about Japanese people.

Erm, not really. Nova is WAY overpriced for the service they offer. Any ex/Nova teacher will tell you that.

A LOT of Nova students I taught took out loans to pay for their lessons and even more housewives were spending their husband's well earned money in secret (this is where they giggle) at Nova.

Of course a lot of students have the money to throw around, and don't know any better. A lot think Nova is good because it's famous and some actually like those bizzare commercials they have on tv.

Most Nova students just don't know any better.

Are you saying that Japanese people are stupid to waste their money on the teachers working at Nova? That's something I could agree with.

Then you'll know that it's full of people with too much money who definitely should have spent their money more wisely.
