f you don’t want them to use your picture again take a copy of the big glossy brochure, get a Chinese friend to write “even THIS foreign teacher left the school because it’s so bad” in Chinese across the picture, run off a thousand copies and plaster them all over town, and up and down the street where the school is

Good idea! Smile I'm considering doing this now

I had te same problem here in Dalian. I was able to get an English speaking lawyer who after looking into my case proclaimed I was entitled to maybe 2000 - 3000 rmb in damages BUT the case would cost 10 times that to take to court.. Its just impossible. BUT remember even the Chinese have teh same problems sometimes. Sun Nan had te same prob and only won 30000 damages after his image was used. Hey get on the net and choose the right image as here in China nobody cares!!!! Plagiarism is just the norm nowadays....

There is a comic strip drawn by foreigners in Japan called "Charisma Man", which details just such a scenario, CJ. If you can ever find "Charisma Man" anywhere, pick up a copy. It's great!

Yes, the evil Western Woman appears many times in the series. But C-Man always... ok, usually, scrapes through.
