Neither of us has a univ. degree, but we are EFL cert. We are both mid-age and homeschool our child (with plans to continue through high-school). We could offer a school one full and one part-time teacher. Any specific advice re. locations or good schools? We also would be wanting semi-decent accomodations, but not afraid to be flexible. Thanks for your kind replies.

You will not have any problems getting a visa or finding work. As a matter of fact if you plan it out and get a multiple entry tourist visa for business purposes you may make more money and have less visa hassles than counter parts with ARC's. So long as you fit into the accepted racial catagory, (WASP) you are a good teacher. It is also a benifit if you have blond hair, blue eyesand are under 30.
Come to Taiwan and have a look around before you decide. You can pick up a couple of private tutoring jobs while you are deciding.
Good luck.
